Johan is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.
He has deep overall insurance industry expertise as well as extensive programming experience. During his over 10 years tenure at PwC as part of the senior Actuarial Risk and Quants management team, Johan engaged in a wide range of audit and non-audit related work.

Responsibilities included:

Life Insurance:
SAM / Solvency II implementation and reviews
IFRS 17 implementation support
Valuations for financial reporting IFRS 4, Embedded Values
Development and review of ESGs for market consistent valuation of embedded derivatives
Due diligence (valuations and decision support)
Pricing and product design assistance to startup companies

Banking:
IFRS 9 implementation and review
Development and review of credit impairment models and valuations (IAS 39 and IFRS 9)
Development and review of application and behavioral scorecards

Other:
Valuation of employee share schemes (IFRS 2)
Valuation of employee benefits (IAS 19)
Valuation of financial instruments, including noninsurance companies, at fair value (IFRS 13)
Significant amount of process modelling and optimization work in a range of contexts
Various data analysis and predictive modelling work
